North Easton Savings Bank Sponsors Plymouth 400 Indigenous History Conference

North Easton Savings Bank was the proud presenting sponsor of an Indigenous History Conference facilitated by Plymouth 400, Inc. and hosted by Bridgewater State University.

“2020 Hindsight or Foresight – Indigenous History Conference” was presented in nine virtual sessions throughout the end of 2020. It was one of several Plymouth 400 Anniversary events commemorating the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower voyage and highlighting the cultural contributions and American traditions that began with the interaction of the Wampanoag and English peoples, a story that significantly shaped the building of America.

The Conference featured more than 60 speakers who addressed the history, traditional life, colonization and its aftermath and the continued resilience of New England natives today.

“It was a privilege to be the presenting sponsor of this educational and enlightening Conference,” said Rich Spencer, president and CEO of North Easton Savings Bank. “The 400th anniversary of the Mayflower voyage and the founding of Plymouth Colony is a story that cannot be told without the perspective of the Indigenous people.”
